  1. Edit, Nov. 9, 2012: Moved “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” from average/somewhat negative/negative to somewhat positive. My thoughts about it haven’t changed, but I find my memory of it is somewhat more warm than cold.

  2. Edit, Dec. 24, 2013: These lists will be living and will continue to change as I revisit some of these films and see my thoughts on them change. Today, I knocked “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” down a category. I saw it a second time just this week, in preparation for “The Desolation of Smaug,” and liked it substantially less than the first viewing. I could actually see my opinion of it continuing to degrade in the future, but for now, I’ll keep it a category lower.
